Accommodate international students who can't access Zoom
Indiana University students living in most locations outside the US can join live Zoom lectures and class sessions from their internet-connected computers and mobile devices, or by telephone. However, some international students may live in locations where the use of Zoom is prohibited by local regulations or international sanctions. For a list of countries and regions where Zoom is prohibited, see "Restricted countries or regions" on Will Zoom work internationally?
To accommodate international students living in restricted countries or regions, instructors can host live sessions in Zoom and publish them directly to Kaltura for use within their Canvas courses. Instructors can embed Kaltura media in any Canvas tool that uses the Rich Content Editor, including Assignments, Quizzes, Discussions, and Announcements. For instructions, see:
- Create and store recordings of Zoom meetings
- Access and share Zoom recordings in Kaltura
- Upload and share video in Canvas with Kaltura
- Create a video assignment in Canvas with Kaltura
